Flagsticks and rakes in bunkers are set for a return to golf courses in Ireland on Friday as part of Golf Ireland's latest update.
Golfers have found themselves unable to touch or remove flagsticks on courses around the country due to the pandemic.
And rakes in bunkers have also been ditched over the last year and a half with placing in the hazards.
But with normality slowly and steadily resuming, Golf Ireland have said that we should expect to see flagsticks and bunkers back this weekend as they say the low risk of surface transmission coupled with the vaccination rollout in Ireland has seen the association make the decision.
Golf Ireland advise that only one player handle a flagstick per hole and advise hand washing before and after and say the same rule applies to bunkers if more than one player is in a bunker.
Clubs will still have to option to not have rakes or normal flagstick rules on their courses with Covid-19 rules still accepted by the R&A.
Flagsticks and rakes are due to return from Friday, 23 July.
