FK Qarabag vs Arsenal - Europa League LIVE: Sokratis bundles in opening goal

Arsenal are without key players Aaron Ramsey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan for their 5,000 mile round trip to Azerbaijan to take on FK Qarabag in their second Europa League group match.

Unai Emery has insisted that he will be taking this competition seriously, but could be tempted to name a second-string side with Sunday's 12pm Premier League clash on his mind.

Qarabag featured in last season's Champions League group stage and were hit for six at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, but held their own against Atletico Madrid, drawing twice.

GOAL!
FINALLY FOR CHELSEA, AND FINALLY FOR ALVARO MORATA! A LOVELY FINISH.
68 minutes

Eden Hazard beginning to fizz. Paulo Vinicius covers well to stop Alvaro Morata having an effort on goal.

Another corner, and subsequently another one. 15 on the night with more than 20 minutes still to go, and Chelsea haven't had a real effort on goal directly from any of them.
66 minutes

First touch for Barkley, getting the ball out of his feet and bending one round a defender as he looks to find the top corner. The curl on the ball takes it comfortably into Tomas Tujvel's gloves, however.
65 minutes

Another change for Chelsea: Ruben Loftus-Cheek has had an encouraging night on his return to the team. Fittingly, on comes Ross Barkley, today named in Gareth Southgate's England squad somewhat replacing Loftus-Cheek.
63 minutes

They are having a real go at Chelsea.

On the counter Milanov gets free, crosses for Boban Nikolov who tries to return the favour, but Andreas Christensen cuts it out and Vidi will have a corner.

It comes to nothing, but Vidi are creating chances.
61 minutes

Georgi Milanov jinks his way past a Chelsea defender and has a great sighting of goal on his left foot, but the ball is bouncing slightly and he puts this one into the 15th row in the stands.

Another opening for the visitors and a warning sign for Chelsea. It is still 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.
59 minutes

Vidi have a few moments of respite from the Chelsea onslaught with Loic Nego again doing well on the right.
57 minutes

Handball by Vidi; Chelsea free-kick on the angle of the box on the right...

Hazard curls it...

Too far ahead of the line of Chelsea players awaiting a cross.
YELLOW CARD
56 minutes

Boban Nikolov is dispossessed by Willian and drags back the Chelsea winger as he looks to surge away. The Macedonian is duly booked.
55 minutes

Roland Juhasz shows his power to prevent Alvaro Morata latching on to another clipped ball in. Tomas Tujvel welcomes the ball into his arms and Vidi can pump the ball long.
53 minutes

Crucial interception from Paulo Vinicius as Mateo Kovacic looks to find Willian.

Eden Hazard has been prepared and the Belgian is coming on.

Pedro is the slightly surprising choice to come off. The Spaniard had a bright first half.
51 minutes

Ruben Loftus-Cheek goes down and earns a free-kick after knocking the ball between a pair of Vidi players.

It is a lovely ball again from Willian but neither Gary Cahill nor Alvaro Morata can provide a telling touch. Another corner, which is cleared.
50 minutes

Corner, to corner, to corner, and finally a well-whipped ball from Willian forces Tomas Tujvel to just about get a hand to the ball and punch away.
49 minutes

The visitors defended resolutely in the first half and captain Roland Juhasz lead from the front. They've slipped back into their shape naturally at the start of the second half.

Emerson presses forward and earns Chelsea their tenth corner of the game. Can they make one count in the second half?
46 minutes

Vidi begin well. The ball breaks to that man Loic Nego again and his left-footed half-volley is powerfully struck.

Kepa moves well to his right to parry the ball away from a comfortable height. A bright start to the second period from the Hungarian side.
KICK OFF
The second half begins. The same 22 players re-emerge from the tunnel to resume proceedings.
HALF TIME
Again Chelsea can't force a chance from the ball in, and the half-time whistle is blown. 16 shots, 9 corners and a big penalty appeal but no goals as of yet for the home side. 0-0.
45 minutes

Deflected beyond the near post off the wall.

Another corner...
YELLOW CARD
44 minutes

A clear booking for Szabolcs Huszti, and Chelsea have a free-kick in a dangerous position right of centre 25 yards out...
42 minutes

Brilliant from Loic Nego. The Frenchman outmuscles Emerson, cuts back on to his left foot past Andreas Christensen but rather hacks at the ball and it is very easy for Kepa to claim.
