Fixtures day: SPFL clubs learn who they're playing first as new season is mapped out

Motherwell, Airdrie, Hamilton and Clyde have been handed their fixtures for season 2023/24.

Premiership side Motherwell start their campaign at First Division champions Dundee on August 5.

That's followed by back-to-back home games against Hibs and Kilmarnock on August 12 and 26, before heading to Tynecastle to face Hearts on Saturday, September 2.

Stuart Kettlewell's side will then host St Mirren on Saturday, September 16.

Airdrie will start their Championship campaign at Dunfermline, while relegated Accies host Cove Rangers in League One (SNS Group)

Dropping down to the Championship, Airdrie kick off their season at League One champions Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday, August 5, who will be no strangers to each other.

The Diamonds follow that up with home games against Partick Thistle and Inverness Caledonian Thistle on August 12 and 26, and they're then on the road to visit Dundee United and Arbroath on September 2 and 16.

Relegated Hamilton Accies start their season at home to Cove Rangers on August 5, who also tumbled down from the Championship.

John Rankin 's side are away for three of their opening five fixtures, and visit Kelty Hearts and Edinburgh City on August 12 and 19, before hosting Montrose on August 26.

The New Douglas Park side are then away to Stirling Albion on Saturday, September 2.

Clyde start their League Two adventure at The Spartans on opening day (SNS Group)

Clyde start their League Two campaign at newcomers The Spartans on Saturday, August 5, before back-to-back home games against Bonnyrigg Rose and Peterhead at New Douglas Park on August 12 and 19.

They hit the road to visit Stranraer on August 26, before hosting Forfar Athletic on Saturday, September 2.

Up to 12 League One games will be broadcast live on BBC Alba, while BBC will show Championship matches on Friday nights.
