Bathgate Thistle have been forced to withdraw from this season's Scottish Junior Cup - because it would have meant playing twice in less than 24 hours.
The Jags elected to move into the senior ranks over the summer and now ply their trade in the East of Scotland Football League. However, they retained their membership of the Scottish Junior Football Association, meaning they could compete in the Scottish Junior Cup.
The Creamery Park outfit were drawn at home against Vale of Leven, with the match due to take place on Saturday, despite also having an East of Scotland league clash away to Bo'ness Athletic on Friday night.
Despite the club's best efforts, neither fixture could be re-arranged with the Jags having no option but to forfeit their clash against Vale of Leven.
