The analytics site FiveThirtyEight gives the Vikings a 75 percent chance to make the playoffs, 32 percent chance to win the NFC North, 19 percent chance to get a first-round bye and a six-percent chance to win the Super Bowl.

What will help the Vikings immensely would be some NFC North wins. The Vikings are 1-2 against the NFC North opponents this season. Beating the Packers in Week 16 could be the different between the Vikings winning the division or not.
We’ll see if the Vikings can earn win No. 7 in Kansas City in Week 9. The biggest question is if Patrick Mahomes will play.
