Five times Kate Middleton lost her composure - from scowling to eye rolls

Kate Middleton has been cool, calm and collected during her time as a royal as she marks 10 years in the monarchy.

While carrying out royal duties and engagements, The Duchess of Cambridge rarely puts a foot wrong and is always a figure of poise and professionalism.

She's remained remarkably calm in the eye of the storm when drama has swirled around the Royal Family over the years.

Even when she has her three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - with her, her mask rarely slips.

However, Kate is only human and there has been rare occasions where her mask has slipped and her true emotions have shown through.

While few and far between, here we reveal some of those moments...

Telling off Prince George

Prince George and Princess Charlotte were given very important jobs at their Auntie Pippa Middleton's wedding in 2017 - page boy and bridesmaid.

They looked adorable in their little outfits as they were ushered into the church by Kate.

As they made their way over to the cars waiting to whisk them off to the reception, Kate turned to her son and gave him a stern telling off.

It included the famous 'that's enough now' finger point, a universal hand gesture recognised by stressed mothers everywhere, and left George in tears.

But soon after the smiles returned.

Scowl at Prince William

At most public appearances, Kate is usually all smiles.

But in 2017 she appeared to scowl at William while attending a garden party during a tour of Poland.

Her demeanour seemed drastically different to her beaming smiles and jovial chats to crowds outside Poland's Presidential Palace just hours before.

It's unclear why she looked gloomy, but according to OK!, George and Charlotte were accompanying their parents on the visit, so maybe tiredness was to blame.

Tantrum on the tarmac

During a tour of Germany and Poland in 2017, William and Kate brought George and Charlotte with them.

But Kate was forced to leave royal duties aside for a minute when Princess Charlotte had a small toddler tantrum while at Hamburg Airport as they waited to board a plane.

The mum-of-three was seen kneeling down to her daughter's level while raising her finger.

And it seemed to do the trick as it stopped any major tantrum in its tracks and calm was quickly restored.

Epic eye roll

In 2014, while five months pregnant, Kate and William visited New York, where Kate paid a visit to a children's centre to help them wrap Christmas presents.

But after she stopped to chat to some of the volunteers, she was told to "keep wrapping" and she light-heartedly rolled her eyes in a rare candid moment.

Kate soon carried on, and is said to have enjoyed the rest of her visit as she chatted happily with those at the centre.

Marilyn moment

At Princess Eugenie's wedding, Kate wore a beautiful fuchsia Alexander McQueen dress with a matching fascinator.

After the service, she stood with the rest of the royal family to greet the newlyweds when a gust of wind caught everyone by surprise.

And as she struggled to hold down the hem of her dress, Kate was seen giggling with embarrassment by her Marilyn Monroe-like moment.
