Five-Time NBA All-Star Marques Johnson Still Dunking at Age 67

They say that age is just a state of mind. For College Basketball Hall of Famer and five-time NBA All-Star Marques Johnson, that state of mind still has plenty of game left.

Johnson, who celebrated his 67th birthday earlier this month, shared on Monday his latest entry in what’s become an annual tradition: taking a video of himself dunking on a regulation hoop. It’s a ritual that grows more impressive with each passing year, and this time around Johnson used some assistance from his son, former college basketball player-turned-social media star Josiah, and former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas.

Johnson, who won a national championship at UCLA and was the NBA’s Comeback Player of the Year in 1986, had his typical showmanship flair for this year’s video. He’s comfortable in front of the camera from his years serving as an analyst for Bucks games. But his most famous on-camera performance is likely his unforgettable turn as streetballer Raymond in 1992’s White Men Can’t Jump.

Thankfully for all those involved in this year’s dunk video, the situation reached a more calm conclusion than it did for Johnson’s character in the movie, as the 67-year-old threw down with ease. Here’s to another trip around the sun—and looking forward to next year’s jam.
