Michael Toohey murder trial to start
Michael, of Oil Street, Liverpool, died after being attacked in an internet café on London Road on Saturday, April 16. A total of 15 people have now been charged with the 18-year-old's murder.
Keiron Williams, 28 years, of no fixed abode, was charged with murder on Thursday June 30, following his arrest. He will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on November 14.

Liverpool Christmas markets return
Liverpool's beloved Christmas markets are set to make a return next week. There'll be a range of bars to stop off at for a tipple, including a tipi bar, ski bar, windmill bar, and the new Bavarian bar. To ensure an entertaining experience, the bars will host local performers on the weekends.
The market will return on Saturday, November 19, and it will remain until Saturday, December 24.

Qatar World Cup
The Qatar World Cup is the first to be hosted in the Middle East in the tournament's 97-year-history and takes place from November, 20 to December 18. Gareth Southgate's men will be looking to improve on their semi-final defeat to Croatia in 2018 and bring the football home for the first time since 1966.

Woman set to stand trail for murdering 'talented' musician
Adrian Swift, 57, was found dead at an address on Bishopgate Street in Wavertree on the morning of March 24 last year. Cheryl O'Callaghan, of Stanton Crescent in Kirkby has been charged with his murder. O'Callaghan denies murdering Mr Swift and will stand trial on November 14.
