Five teenagers were arrested following a garda chase that ended in a car crash in Dublin on Monday.
A number of garda cars and the garda helicopter responded to the incident at Adamstown, Lucan around 5.10pm.
Officers pursued a car which was seen speeding away.
The pursuit ended in the car smashing into another vehicle in Lucan Village - Dublin Live reports.
Five male youths, who were the occupants of the vehicle, tried to flee away on foot but were caught and arrested by the gardai.
A search of the vehicle found an imitation firearm.
A garda spokesman said: "The five males are currently detained at various Garda Stations in West Dublin under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939. Investigations are ongoing."
