The film, released last year, sees Gifford play a lonely widow who travels the world with her husband’s ashes, and during her first stop in Scotland meets an innkeeper, Ferguson, who changes her life forever.
American actress Kathie Lee Gifford, who also wrote and produced the film, was so impressed with The Lodge when she saw it as a potential filming location she chose it as her desired place to live and dine throughout her stay and even rewrote the ending of the movie to set it at The Lodge.

The iconic pink castle where Balamory’s Archie the Inventor lived is not your average holiday getaway.
The popular children’s show was shot mainly on the Isle of Mull, but cast and crew travelled to colourful Fenton Tower in East Lothian after choosing the unusual property as Archie’s home.
The fortified 16th century tower, which sits between Gullane and North Berwick, has seven bedrooms all individually styled, a great hall, a library and a grand dining room to share and enjoy memorable meals with friends and family. There is also a separate lodge.
