A lot of eyes in the Midwest college basketball recruiting circles will be on Jalen Johnson for the next several months, as the five-star prospect will start to narrow in on his college choice.
He continued to show why he’s deserving of that high ranking.
Participating in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League session 1 in Atlanta over the weekend, Johnson put on a show with his transition scoring, defense and passing ability in front of a plethora of college coaches.
In three games, Johnson – who won a state championship with Nicolet (Wis.) High this past spring – averaged 16.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists playing for the Wisconsin AAU based Phenom University.
Ranked as the No.3 overall prospect in the 247sports rankings, Johnson told the Lexington Herald-Leader he plans to narrow his list to eight or 10 schools in the next couple of weeks and said Arizona, Duke, Kentucky and Wisconsin are the schools standing out.
