Justin Fields has made up his mind about his signing day.
The 5-star UGA commit announced on Twitter on Sunday evening that he will be signing during the first day of the early period on Dec. 20.
Fields rates as the nation's no. 1 dual-threat QB for 2018. He's also rated as the nation's No. 2 overall prospect for this cycle.
This decision will end the notion as to whether or not Fields planned to sign during the early period or take things all the way to the traditional National Signing Day on Feb. 7.
Fields was not immediately able to return a message seeking comment on if he also plans to enroll early at UGA. DawgNation reached out to a source close to the Fields camp about that topic and was informed that specific decision has not been made yet.
The news also comes on the heels on a very busy weekend for the SEC Champions. Fields was just one of a magnitude of several 5-stars that were on their official visits to UGA this weekend.
Fields has been committed to UGA since his decision back in early October. He's also bouncing back from a broken finger he suffered late in the season for Harrison High that ended his prep football career.
