Five players tipped to sign for Manchester United before the January deadline... according to bookies

Manchester United have endured a quiet January transfer window but have welcomed the arrival of Amad Diallo.

The 18-year-old arrived from Atalanta this month after a deal was agreed in the summer window.

It's been relatively quiet on the transfer front this month, though, with outgoings the priority for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Jesse Lingard secured a loan switch to West Ham United, while the likes of Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero and Phil Jones remain at the club but not involved in first-team affairs.

Ahead of Monday's deadline, here's a look at who Sky Bet think could arrive at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the Premier League title race after dropping points against Arsenal

Max Aarons, Norwich City - 5/2

United have been looking for senior competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Brandon Williams struggling for first-team minutes.

Williams has been linked with a loan move to Southampton this month but United look set to keep the versatile defender as they compete on three fronts.

However, the bookmakers think a deal for Norwich City star Max Aarons could be in the offing.

Aarons was the subject of interest from Barcelona in the summer but the Canaries have remained resolute in their resolve to keep the 21-year-old right-back.

Cristaino Ronaldo, Juventus - 9/1

It couldn't happen, could it? Probably not.

It seems incredibly unlikely that Cristiano Ronaldo would get the perfect homecoming and return to Old Trafford but stranger things have happened. Just about.

Despite the economics that would be involved for any deal to be agreed with Juventus, who would not want to lose their star player mid-season, the bookmakers have this transfer priced at 9/1.

Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund - 14/1

Jadon Sancho was United's top target in the summer window so it's understandable that he's relatively high on the list for a January move.

However, United aren't prioritising this deal this month, MEN Sports understands. Sancho's form has dropped off this term and Borussia Dortmund don't want to sell the Englishman halfway through the season.

Still, the rumours persist and the bookmakers have priced up a shock deadline-day move at 14/1.

Ben White, Brighton & Hove Albion - 16/1

Ben White's stock continues to rise at Brighton after impressing with Leeds United last season.

The Englishman has impressed in his debut Premier League season, operating at centre-back and also as a holding midfielder.

Liverpool are said to be tracking the 23-year-old's progress and United have also been linked with a move.

While United have four centre-backs available to them, a move this month is very unlikely, but the bookmakers have priced a move for White at 16/1.

Dele Alli, Tottenham Hotspur - 20/1

The future of Dele Alli remains up in the air, with the Englishman getting no game time under Jose Mourinho.

Alli has been touted for a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain to team up with former boss Mauricio Pochettino but that is yet to materialise.

Knowing Daniel Levy, it's tough to see how he would allow Alli to move to United, given the history between the two clubs and their positions in the Premier League table.

Still, a shock January move is available at 20/1.
