Five players Manchester United are tipped to sign this summer by bookmakers

Manchester United have a stern test ahead of them in the final weeks of the season as they seek to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The hard work will not finish at the end of the campaign though, with the Red Devils keen to rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to bridge the gap to rivals Manchester City and Liverpool ahead of next term.

With just one month until the transfer window opens, speculation on potential additions is rising and United could be one of the most active clubs during the summer with a number of arrivals and departures potentially taking place.

A host of names are already being linked with a move to Old Trafford and, using BetVictor, we have identified the five players they believe Solskjaer is most likely to add to his ranks during the close season.

Toby Alderweireld - Tottenham Hotspur (Evens)

A likely area Manchester United will focus on this summer will be in defence and Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld is seen as the most likely addition by bookies, as he is vastly experienced and a clause in his contract means he will be available for a cut-price this summer.

Harry Maguire - Leicester City (5/6)

Heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer after his World Cup exploits, speculation surrounding Harry Maguire’s future went quiet in the middle of the season but is picking up again amidst United’s search for defensive additions.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Crystal Palace (2/1)

It is not just the middle of defence where United are seeking additions, as a new right-back is also on their shortlist. After a sensational campaign with Crystal Palace, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the name on everyone’s lips but there is concern his arrival could hamper Diogo Dalot’s development.

Thomas Meunier - Paris Saint-Germain (5/2)

An alternative to Wan-Bissaka, and a player who would allow Dalot to continue to develop in the squad, Thomas Meunier has made no secret of his adoration for Manchester United in the past and an exit from the French capital this summer is suggested.

Ivan Perisic - Inter Milan (5/2)

A name Manchester United fans will be well aware of by now, Ivan Perisic has long been linked with a Premier League move and it seems that this summer could provide that opportunity. However, questions will be asked as to whether the 30-year-old is a significant improvement for the squad.
