Five people taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment after head-on crash

A police probe is underway following a serious crash which took place in the St George's Cross area of the city.

The crash, involving two vehicles, occurred at around 12:05am on Saturday (December 18) on St George's Road.

Emergency crews attended the scene and five people were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to their injuries.

Police say their injuries are not thought to be serious and that enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We received report of two-vehicle crash on St George’s Road in Glasgow around 12.05am on Saturday, 18 December, 2021.

"Five people were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment although their injuries are not thought to be serious. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.”
