Urgent appeals have been issued to find the relatives of five people who died alone.
Merseyside Police have released the names of the four men and one woman, on behalf of the coroner's office, in the hopes their loved ones come forward following their deaths. Searches for the next of kin have so far drawn a blank.
Today the ECHO lists the names of people who have died in Merseyside in the last few months. In some cases, people are buried or cremated without the presence of relatives in what is known as a public health funeral organised by the local authority.

None of the deaths are being treated as suspicious but it's important to try and find any relatives who may be unaware they have died. Here is the list below, between September and October.

John Andrew Ashcroft
Mr Ashcroft was 77 when he died at his home in Park Road, Southport, on Monday, October 3. He is believed to have a son living in Pittsburgh, America, and a daughter who resides in France. It is also believed that he had an ex-wife that lived in Dorset named by police as Eryl Ashcroft.

George Neville Hulme
George Neville Hulme died on Saturday, October 8 at his home in Alexandra Drive, Aigburth. He was 73-years-old. Mr Hulme sadly died in hospital and police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

Gerard Joseph Taylor
Gerard Joseph Taylor, from Newsham Drive, in Liverpool, died at the age of 55 on Friday, September 23. Police are trying to track his family.

Edna Marshall
Edna Marshall died at her home in Park Road South, Newton-le-Willows, aged 89. Her death is not being treated as suspicious and police are trying to trace her next of kin.

Peter Arthur Jackson
Police said Peter Arthur Jackson died at his home in Talbot Street, Southport. He was 75-years-old.
