Five of the cheapest short break flights from Leeds Bradford Airport

Fancy a quick break this weekend but don't want to spend a small fortune?

You will be surprised at where you can fly to, at the last minute, for very little cash from Leeds Bradford Airport.

We've scoured Skyscanner to find five of the thriftiest deals going this weekend.

And while you may not be flying to the warmest destinations in the world there are several great city breaks just a few hours away on a plane.

Prices quoted are for a return ticket for one adult travelling economy class.

All flights are direct so you won't be hanging around in airports too long.

We've also included a bit of information about the place you'll be visiting.

Dublin - £62

The famous Temple Bar, Dublin (Trevah/Wikipedia)

The Irish capital is famous for its nightlife, the huge Phoenix Park (which includes a zoo) and of course, Guinness.

Fly there on Saturday and back on Thursday 5 March and it will cost you £62.

Malta - £95

Escape the March cold on this fascinating south Mediterranean island.

This small island packs in a lot from the elegant capital of Valletta and the idyllic island of Gozo to the underground Hypogeum.

Fly tomorrow (Friday) and return on Monday 2 March for £130.

Costa del Sol - £144

Puerto Banus, Marbella, Costa Del Sol (Tomas Fano/Wikipedia)

You can fly to Malaga, the gateway to the Costa del Sol and resorts like Marbella, Fuengirola and Nerja, for £144 return.

That's if you leave on Saturday and return on Wednesday 4 March.

Tenerife - £145

Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, in winter (it's still warm) (Wikipedia)

Your ticket to a week in this perpetually sunny Canary Island could cost you as little as £145.

You'll need to be quick as the flight leaves tomorrow morning! You'll return on Friday 6 March.

If that's too soon you can spend 11 nights there and spend just £166 on flights if you leave on Saturday and return on Thursday 12 March.
