Below is a list of some of the art on display, including where they’re being shown, ticket prices and the exhibition end dates.

Sickert: A Life In Art

Walker Art Gallery. (LIVERPOOL ECHO)

Walter Sickert had a career spanning six decades, and although he was born in Munich in Germany, he moved to Britain as a child in 1868.

The Gallery holds the largest collection of Sickert’s art in the world, totalling 348 drawings. Most of the artwork has never been displayed before and demonstrates the role that drawing played in Sickert’s artistic practice.

The artist played an important part of capturing society for how it really was, even if it’s reality offended his audiences.

Taken by Liverpool City Police between 1940 and 1942, the displays convey the impact the Second World War had on those living in Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

The exhibition, which puts the people of Liverpool at the heart of it, features sensory elements to enable visitors to experience wartime aromas and hands-on tactile images.

Lucian Freud: Real Lives

The British painter is widely celebrated for his portraits which were mainly of those closest to him, including his family, friends, lovers and artists.

She often collaborates with choreographers, dancers and filmmakers and uses community groups and real-life narratives within her pieces.
