Five metroBus stops closed due to emergency works

A road in Bristol city centre has been shut for emergency repairs, forcing the temporary closure of five metroBus stops.

Cumberland Road on Spike Island is shut in both directions between Avon Crescent and Mardyke Ferry Road for the works this morning.

It means the metroBus service M2 and the Bristol Flyer service A1 are on diversion routes.

This has led to the closure of the following stops:

  • Ashton Vale (Both Directions)
  • Ashton Gate (Both Directions)
  • Cumberland Basin (Both Directions)
  • SS Great Britain (Both Directions)
  • Wapping Wharf (Both Directions)

A spokesman for Travelwest said: "All services will operate via the A370 and Coronation Road."
