Five men have been arrested following a suspected attack outside a funeral.
A large police operation is in place after a car was smashed ahead of the funeral of Tom Harker, 68, from Stockton.
Mr Harker, a leading member of the travelling community, died in April in a five car crash on the A66 close to his home in Sadberge, near Darlington, Teesside Live reports .
A car was attacked in Yarm Road shortly before the funeral cortege arrived although it is not yet known if the two incidents are linked.
Cleveland Police has confirmed five men were arrested after a “disturbance” outside the Queen Victoria pub, on Yarm Road, at 1.15pm.
Police are maintaining a presence in the area around Yarm Road at the moment.

In a statement following Mr Harker's death, his family said: “It is with deepest regret that we announce the death of Thomas (Tom) Harker who was involved in a tragic road traffic collision.
"He was a much loved husband and father and will be sadly missed.
"We wish to thank everyone for their support and ask to be left to grieve in peace."
A police statement said: "Officers were on scene immediately and currently five males have been arrested in connection with the incident.
"Enquiries are at a very early stage.
"Police are maintaining a presence in the area around Yarm Road at the moment."
