Five lucky Nottinghamshire neighbours enjoy People's Postcode Lottery win

Five lucky Nottinghamshire neighbours are celebrating after securing £1,000 each in the People's Postcode Lottery.

The Frinton Road neighbours in Broxtowe were announced as the winners when NG8 6GR was made the daily prize winner on Thursday, October 29.

It means they all receive £1,000 each to spend after their win.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.

She said: “What a lovely surprise. Congratulations to all the winners in Nottingham, I hope the win lifts their spirits and they enjoy spending the prize money.”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted on behalf of Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) which has received more than £3.5 million in funding thanks to players. RNIB is one of the UK's leading sight loss charities and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.

Its focus is on giving people the help, support and tools they need to realise their aspirations.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
