The New Orleans Pelicans publicly signaled that they could be entering a new phase as a franchise. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the team was fielding trade offers for veteran guard Jrue Holiday. Though Holiday has not asked for a trade himself, the team likely sees this off-season as one of the last times to get maximum value for him in a trade given his age and contract status.
Still, the team should and likely will ask for a lot in return for Holiday. Contenders are lining up to make offers for Holiday, which should help create a bidding war.
