Five Guys to open restaurant at the Glasgow Fort this week

Five Guys is to open a brand new restaurant at the Glasgow Fort.

The burger joint is taking over the former Yo! Sushi restaurant at the east end shopping centre and welcomes customers from tomorrow.

The chain made the announcement on their Facebook page.

The post reads: "New Restaurant Alert. We're pleased to reveal we might have a fantastic new addition to our restaurants coming soon. If you have been with us this week you'll have seen the transformation. Opening May 10 for amazing milkshakes amongst the other 250,000 combinations of delights."

Five Guys already has existing branches in the city centre, Silverburn, Braehead and Xscape in Renfrew. It's known for its two-patty burgers, sandwiches and milkshakes. Check out the menu here.

It's the latest to open up in Glasgow's food scene after it was announced BRGR is set to open a restaurant at Silverburn Shopping Centre.
