Five Guys restaurant in Nottingham remains closed for third day after damage from ceiling collapse

Nottingham city centre's Five Guys restaurant remains closed for a third day after debris from what appeared to have been part of the ceiling collpased.

The branch in Long Row, near Old Market Square, was closed after the incident which was seen on Saturday, December 28.

The fast-food eatery was also closed on Sunday, December 29, and staff at the store confirmed it was not opening on Monday, December 30.

Debris was left scattered across the restaurant floor.

Five Guys is a chain originating from the United States with more than 100 in the UK, including two branches in Nottingham.

Staff at the Long Row restaurant, which specialises in burgers, hot dogs and fries, would not say when the branch was likely to re-open.

A Five Guys spokesman told Nottinghamshire Live: “We are ascertaining the extent of the damage and the restaurant will reopen as soon as possible."
