Five Guys restaurant in Nottingham closed after pictures appear to show ceiling collapse

A restaurant in Nottingham's city centre has been closed after pictures appear to show a collapsed ceiling leaving debris scattered across the site.

The Five Guys restaurant, on Long Row near the Old Market Square, was closed after the incident which was captured on Saturday, December 28.

When contacted by Nottinghamshire Live, restaurant managers spoke only to say that there was a maintenance issue and that they were waiting on a contractor for the issue to be resolved - adding that they were unable to say anything else.

The pictures show the restaurant empty and deserted in the middle of the day, with only a few lights turned on in the kitchen.

They also appear to show debris from the incident scattered across the floor on the majority of the restaurant's entrance.

Five Guys is a chain originating from the United States with over one hundred restaurants in the UK, including two branches in Nottingham.

Managers at the Long Row restaurant, which specialises in burgers, hot dogs and fries, would not say when the branch was likely to re-open.
