Five Guys and Yo Sushi among restaurants set to open at Edinburgh's new St James' Centre

Five Guys, Yo! Sushi and @pizza are looking to open restaurants at Edinburgh's new St James' Centre.

Licensing applications submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council show that the big-name chains are looking to open new premises in the 'food court' area.

The shopping galleria is set to open at the St James' Centre this year with the W Edinburgh and Roomzzz hotels to follow next year along with the five-screen Everyman Cinema.

Zara has already announced that it will open a massive 37,000 sq ft store across three floors while Mango will launch its first Edinburgh store directly opposite.

Bershka, Stradivarius and Pull&Bear will also take stores in the shopping galleria.

Edinburgh's SkyscraperCity shared news of the licensing applications on social media earlier today (Tuesday) and the new restaurant openings would see Five Guys launch their fourth eatery in the Edinburgh area – in addition to their outlets a Fort Kinnaird, in Fountain Park and on Frederick Street.

@Pizza currently have a restaurant in the city centre, on Charlotte Lane, and Yo! Sushi have an eatery on Princes Street.

It was reported earlier how the City of Edinburgh Council was looking to limit the size of the planned 1600-space car park at the new St James' Centre. You can read the full story here.
