Five Greek islands will be added to the travel corridor list - and no countries are to be removed this week, the government has announced.
Travellers arriving in the UK from Lesvos, Santorini, Serifos, Tinos and Zakynthos will no longer need to quarantine as of 4am on Saturday (October 10).
According to the Department for Transport, the latest assessment from the Joint Biosecurty Centre (JBC) indicates that the risk of coronavirus to travellers on the islands has decreased to an acceptable level.
The five islands were removed from the travel corridor list, along with Mykonos and Crete, on September 9, after the government announced a new regional quarantine policy.
Meanwhile, the government also decided not to remove any countries from this list of exemptions this week - despite speculation that rising case numbers in Italy and mainland Greece could see them lose their travel corridor status.
The government says it takes into account a range of factors when deciding to add or remove a destination from the exemption list.
These include the infection rate of an area, the numbers of new cases, information on a destination's testing capacity and regime and test positivity rates.
The Foreign Office has also updated its travel advice to exempt Lesvos, Santorini, Serifos, Tinos and Zakynthos from its global advisory against non-essential travel.
Travellers arriving in the UK from any destination are still required to show a passenger locater form on arrival.
Anyone arriving from a destination not on the travel corridor list also faces a two-week quarantine.
Fines for breaking quarantine start at £1,000 for a first offence - rising to up to £10,000 for subsequent offences.
The UK travel corridor is reviewed by the government on a weekly basis.
Announcements are usually made by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps every Thursday at 5pm.
