Five face mists to keep skin fresh and glowing on hot summer days

There’s something almost futuristic about a serum in mist: a synergistic meeting of high-performance skincare and hydration delivered in sheer, gossamer form.

Once the domain of skincare experts and backstage makeup artists who relied on their innovation and sensorial benefits, this Korean-born breed now commands wider attention for its ability to drench skin in a micro-fine film of active ingredients to keep it fresh, refined, dewy, soothed, hydrated and protected as required.

What is a face mist?

Face mists are essentially lightweight, spray-able serums designed to refresh, hydrate, soothe, treat or prep skin. Ideal for using at home, or on-the-go, they slot seamlessly into most skincare regimes and are applied directly to skin.

Depending on the intended function of your choice, face mists are typically water-based and contain a range of ingredients from humectants (hydrating agents), to antioxidants, soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients, botanical waters and finish enhancers.

By their nature hands-free, they allow you to safely and easily top up your skincare on the go, whether it’s a morning moisture hit, deskside pick-me-up, or moment of serene calm that you need.
