Five charged in Comanchero bikie gang raids in Logan, Gold Coast

Queensland police have arrested five people and seized drugs and cash in bikie-gang related raids across the state's south-east.

Four men, aged between 26 and 45, and a woman, 24, were charged with a combined list of 18 offences, mainly drug related.

Police said they were targeting members of the Comanchero motorcycle gang, which is listed as an outlawed group.

Properties in Logan, Coomera and the wider Gold Coast were searched and police allege they found cocaine, MDMA, Cannabis, GHB, steroids and prescription drugs.

Footage from the raids showed police counting wads of $100 notes and other denominations of cash, as well as piles of clothing emblazoned with the Bandidos' bikie gang colours and logo.

Detective Acting Superintendent Tim Leadbetter from the Organised Crime Gangs Group said police will keep targeting organised crime despite other pressures amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"There is zero tolerance for those involved in serious and organised crime," he said.

"It's business as usual in this regard and we will continue to be unrelenting in our efforts to disrupt and prosecute those who pose a risk to our community."
