Five arrested in connection with disturbance in Glenrothes

Five people have been charged in connection with a disturbance in Fife.

Emergency crews raced to Ryan Road in Glenrothes after reports of the incident at around 4pm on Friday afternoon.

Two men and a woman were treated for injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

A heavy police presence remained in the area until the later hours of Friday.

Cops have confirmed that four men, aged 38, 29, 35 and 25, and a woman aged 25 have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

They are all due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, June 1.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Four men and a woman have been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance in Ryan Road, Glenrothes, around 4pm on Friday, 29 May.

“The men, aged 38, 29, 35, and 25, and the woman, aged 25, are due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, 1 June.”
