The 5 places in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire that recorded new coronavirus cases in 24 hours

Seven more people have tested positive for coronavirus across Nottinghamshire, and one in Nottingham, Public Health England figures have revealed.

As of around 4pm on Friday, July 24, there were 1,200 cases in the city, a rise of one from Thursday.

There are now 3,026 confirmed cases across the wider county, marking a rise from 3,019 24 hours earlier.

All but three areas of Nottinghamshire have recorded new cases, with Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and Rushcliffe the only three places with no new confirmed cases.

This is the breakdown for each region of Nottinghamshire:

- Ashfield 573 (no change);

- Bassetlaw 575 (increase of three);

- Broxtowe 433 (increase of one);

- Gedling 380 (increase of one);

- Mansfield 352 (increase of two);

- Newark and Sherwood 324 (no change);

- Rushcliffe 391 (no change);

Elsewhere across the East Midlands, there are 3,387 confirmed cases in Derbyshire, and 1,312 in Derby.

There are 3,225 confirmed cases across Leicestershire and 4,734 in Leicester itself.

Overall there have now been 45,677 coronavirus deaths across the UK after 123 were recorded in the last day.
