Five people appeared in court yesterday charged with violence and posing as cops following what police described as "a series of incidents" in Grangemouth..
James Weir, 39, David Weir, 38, Allan Wilson, 33, Jodie Shaw, 30, and Charlene Shaw, 27, are all charged, on petition, with impersonating a constable with an intent to deceive, carrying offensive weapons, assault to injury, and assault causing severe injury.
Additionally, the three male accused are charged with using threatening and abusive behaviour, and Wilson is also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
At private hearings at Falkirk Sheriff Court, the five, all from Grangemouth, made no plea and were committed for further examination.
Sheriff Derek Livingston released Charlene Shaw on bail, to appear again at a date to be confirmed, and remanded the others in custody.
Those remanded in custody will appear in court again in eight days' time.
