Five against one fight breaks out on train between Neath and Baglan leaving victim injured

Transport police are appealing for information after a fight broke out on a train traveling from Neath.

According to officers, a passenger was assaulted by three men at Skewen.

Police were called at around 6pm on Wednesday, August 19, but the men had left the scene by the time they arrived.

One witness said she was left "disgusted" by the incident.

She claimed five men in total turned on one man like a "pack of animals" after he fell and accidentally touched one of them.

All of them were told to leave the train at Baglan, she said.

It's not known how badly hurt the victim was, but it is understood he received first aid from staff.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called at 5.59pm on Wednesday, August 19, to Port Talbot railway station after reports a passenger was assaulted by three men at Skewen.

"Officers attended, but the men had left the scene. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to text 61016 with the reference 434 of 190820."
