Five, A1, 911 and Damage coming to Newcastle for The Boys Are Back tour

They are four of the biggest groups of the Smash Hits generation and Five, A1, 911 and Damage are joining forces for a huge UK tour, which will come to Newcastle next year.

The four boybands are uniting for The Boys Are Back, which will kick off in Birmingham on February 19 2020 before arriving at Newcastle City Hall on February 22, which just so happens to be a Saturday night!

The groups all had plenty of huge chart hits in their own right at the end of the 90s and turn of the millennium,so the setlist for the tour is sure to be amazing.

We'll start with Five. After bursting into the top 10 with their debut single Slam Dunk Da Funk, Five went onto land a string of massive smashes including Everybody Get Up, If Ya Gettin' Down and number 1s Keep On Movin', We Will Rock You and Let's Dance.

Now, more Three than Five - with Scott, Abs and Sean now flying the Five flag, they have had a busy few years since starring on The Big Reunion in 2013, with appearances at big events like Newcastle Pride and South Tyneside Festival.

A1 also appeared on The Big Reunion, a year later than Five in 2014, but original member Paul was amazing. He is joining back up with Ben, Christian and Mark for a number of reunion shows later this year and will be on The Boys Are Back tour with them.

A1's big hits included Ready Or Not, Caught in the Middle and charttoppers Take On Me and Same Old Brand New You.

Staying with bands with numbers in their name, 911 are on the tour too, with all three original members Lee, Jimmy and Spike still very much in the fold.

911 have one number 1 single to their name - 1999's A Little Bit More - but the guys are also known for songs like Don't Make Me Wait, The Journey and Bodyshakin'.

Completing the lineup are Damage, who you'll remember for hits like Love II Love, Forever and Ghetto Romance.
