Fitness influencer Kayla Itsines splits from partner Tobi Pearce

Kayla Itsines has split with fiancé Tobi Pearce after eight years together.

The Australian fitness influencer, 29, took to Instagram to announce the shock news to her 12.6 million followers.

The split comes just a year after the pair welcomed baby daughter Arna Leia.

“After eight years together, Tobi and I have come to the difficult decision to separate as a couple. We will always be family, and remain good friends and devoted parents to Arna,” Itsines wrote.

“We have grown up together in Adelaide, sharing a lifetime of experiences and special memories from moving into our first apartment and starting SWEAT from our lounge room to becoming parents to our beautiful daughter.

“Our friendship remains strong as we parent Arna together and run SWEAT as business partners. Thank you for your support and kindness during this time.”

The pair first met back in 2012, shortly after Itsines decided to leave her job as a manager of a gym to launch her own venture specialising in female-focused workouts.

Together, they launched the Itsines-Pearce fitness empire, which includes the popular SWEAT app and the Bikini Body Guide, which gained popularity through endorsements on social media and is now available in 155 different countries.

Named as Forbes’ Top Fitness Influencer in 2017, Itsines and Pearce are thought to be worth an astounding $696 million AUD (roughly £378.4 million) and were named Australia’s richest self-made businesspeople in their twenties.

The pair got engaged in February last year.

At the time, Pearce wrote: “Cherub, you're one incredible woman. Thank you so much for being by my side on this incredible journey that is life through the big ups and equally big downs. I couldn't do this without you.

“You're my fiancée, my best friend and the mother to our first daughter. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
