Just back from a small business seminar, part of which covered mobile phones. Who has a mobile phone, asked the facilitator, and predictably every hand went up. Who has a camera on it, he asked - and once again every hand in this small business-centric group waved in the air.
Then he asked why people wanted a camera phone, and interestingly in my view, people denied they actually wanted the thing - they had it because it was compulsory, they said, some of them with a smile. And only last week I was talking to 02 and they confirmed that their business customers found photos the least useful function on their phone.
I need hardly add that the business community is still buying a hell of a lot of photo phones. I wonder what they'd do if they were offered some sort of choice?
