Separately, the centre said it was informed that a Koh Mak-registered diving speedboat had sunk at Laem Ngop pier in Laem Ngop district about 4.30pm on Monday.
The boat normally carried cargo and three people. It had left Laem Ngop pier and headed for Koh Mak. Around Koh Salak, water began leaking in through the stern. The crew found and plugged a hole, pumped the water out and turned back to Laem Ngop.
The leak grew in size, and the boat sank at Laem Ngop pier. No injuries were reported.
