A group of 40-strong anglers had to fish their own cars out of water after they parked them on sheets of ice.
The Russian fishermen have left their cars on Voyevoda Bay, a few metres off Russky Island near the city of Vladivostok.
However they returned from an angling session to the port to find over 35 vehicles half submerged into the freezing water.
Video shows sheets of ice break into huge blocks along a long queue of SUVs and minivans.
The group has to attach ropes to the vehicles to pull them up from the water.
Fortunately no one was in the vehicles when the mishap took place.
A witness told Amur News Service: "Everyone drove onto the ice and parked close together.
"It was like domino effect.
"The ice cracked - some cars were partly under water, others had only roofs above the water.
"It is scary just to look at this."
It's reported that some cars sank to as deep as seven feet, according to local emergency services.
When they returned from their ice angling, the drivers faced fishing their cars out of the cold Pacific waters.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Primorsky Territory said that a total of 45 reports of sunken vehicles were received.
