Fisherman's horror as he hooks human body in New York Central Park as kids play nearby

A fisherman was horrified after he hooked a human corpse in New York's Central Park.

Luis Castoire, 24, thought he'd caught a fish but started shouting and "freaked out" when he realised what it was.

The 24-year-old said there was a "whole bunch of kids there" and was upset they'd had to encounter the incident on Thursday.

But according to reports, it's the second corpse to have been found in the park and the third corpse found in New York this month.

Luis said: "I hooked up on something. I went to go look and then when I lifted up my line it was a body.

"I started yelling at people and they called the cops and they confirmed it was a body."

He added: "It had sneakers ... black-and-white sneakers and it had hair and looked like a male."

Luis said at first he thought it was just a shadow in the water, The Sun reports.
