Toymaker Fisher-Price has recalled nearly five million of its baby sleepers after the product was linked to at least 30 infant deaths.
The recall was announced by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on Friday.
On their website, the commission said at least 30 babies had died in the Rock 'n Play Sleepers model since its 2009 release.
The CPSC said that it was aware of 10 infant deaths in the Rock 'n Play that occurred when infants rolled from their back onto their stomach or side while unrestrained.
Fisher-Price had warned customers to stop using the sleeper once infants can roll over.

The sleepers, which were sold nearly five million times, retailed between £30 and £113.
The CPSC has urged consumers to stop using the sleepers immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a refund.
A recall notice said: "Since the 2009 product introduction, over 30 infant fatalities have occurred in Rock ‘n Play Sleepers, after the infants rolled over while unrestrained, or under other circumstances."

Chuck Scothon, general manager at Fisher-Price, told CNN the company said recall was the "best course of action" and it will continue to stand by the safety of all its products.
"With these actions, we want parents around the world to know that safety will always be a cornerstone of our mission, that we are committed to these values, and will continue to prioritise the health, safety and well-being of the infants and preschoolers who utilise our products," he added.
