Fish and chip lovers issued warning over how they use their vinegar

Social media is losing its collective mind after one man showed them that Brits have been adding vinegar to their chips wrongly for decades.

The TikTok user @onlyscrans flipped people's worlds upside down when he showed them a faster and more accurate way to apply vinegar.

This video is racking up thousands of views as people come to terms with their past vinegar-related flaws, Birmingham Mail reports.

No more uneven distribution of vinegar, no longer will one chip be soggier than another - as long as fish and chip shops use spray bottles instead of your standard drip bottle.

They said: "Next time you put vinegar on chips, stick it in a spray bottle and spray it all over."

They continued: "You get a nice even application and none of it gets soggy.

"You’re welcome."

Instead of the usual negative response that social media encourages, people were mostly dumbstruck.

TikTok account MyLondon added: "After a couple of sprays (okay, more than a couple) my chips were perfectly, evenly covered in vinegar.

"There wasn’t one disappointing chip with no vinegar on it to be found.

"Honestly, brands are missing a trick here - all vinegar should be sold in a spray bottle."
