One of Firuza Sharipova's team members believes Katie Taylor was lucky to be named the winner of the pair's fight last weekend.
The undisputed lightweight champion successfully defended her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and Ring magazine belts in Liverpool as she won via unanimous decision, with the judges scoring the bout 98-92, 97-92, 96-93 in her favour.
Sharipova has already said she disagreed with the judges' decision and now she has shared comments made by one of her team, which criticise the result and claim that the Kazakh fighter was not given enough time to prepare for the bout.
The Instagram post reads: "We all know the result - the victory went to the Irishwoman Taylor. It was not a dominant victory, there was not even a hint of it, it was a victory with a stretch, and many believe that Firuza was sentenced. This is also indicated by the computer evaluation of the fight. I will not comment on boxing and refereeing myself, I will give an opinion on my part.
"Our team received an offer 1 month before the fight. If you watch from the side, as a spectator, many nuances are not visible. The standard preparation for the fight goes for 3 months in order to go through all the cycles and have time to solve all the organizational issues.

"During this month we had to have time: to make weight, at the same time increase endurance, study the opponent, pick up sparring partners and work with them, conduct training on OFP, find time to recover, go through honey.commission, get a visa (I didn't have time).
"Each specialist gave Firuza a task and she had to do everything in time, while she still had to be in a lot of places every day, cook food and have time to rest.
"A month is 4 weeks, where the last week before the fight, the fighters know, is on the decline in loads. Ie, 3 weeks to prepare!!! In addition, it was necessary to get ready and fly to the coaches from Kazakhstan and then fly to England for adaptation."

Meanwhile, Taylor has ruled out a rematch against Sharipova.
She said: "I wouldn't say I'm considering a rematch.
"I knew coming into this fight that she was a great fighter, technically very good. She was a good amatuer as well so I was expecting a tough fight tonight.
"I think everyone else was overlooking this opponent but we certainly weren't."
She added: "I thought it was a convincing win so I wouldn't say we're really considering a rematch, but she's a great fighter and I had a lot of respect for her coming into this fight as well.
"But I knew I all had to do was get the win for this fight and move on to bigger names next year."
