First West of England has issued a statement after a woman became trapped underneath a bus in Bristol city centre.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Baldwin Street and Broad Quay shortly after 7.30pm on Monday, November 25.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a woman had been trapped underneath a bus following a collsion.
They used specialist equipment to free her.
Her condition is not yet clear.
A spokesperson for First West of England said: “We can confirm that there was an incident this evening on the corner of Baldwin Street and Broad Quay in Bristol city centre involving one of our buses and a member of the public.
"First and foremost our thoughts are with the individual concerned and we have been working closely with the emergency services at the scene of the incident. We will also fully assist the relevant authorities in the investigation that will be undertaken.
"We are not in a position to comment any further at this stage.”
The incident saw a huge emergency presence in the Centre and brought traffic to a standstill.
More than 20 buses were queuing at the incident for hours while the road was closed off as emergency services worked at the scene.
