WASHINGTON _ Donald Trump's campaign launched its first general election TV ads on Friday in battleground states in which he trails, hitting rival Hillary Clinton on the "rigged system."
The ads will run in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania until Aug. 29, NBC News reported.
The $4 million he is spending in those states pales in comparison to the $61 million Clinton's campaign has spent so far.
The Trump ad focuses on security and is themed around Trump's "Make America Safe Again" slogan introduced at the Republican National Convention."
In opens with, "In Hillary Clinton's America, the system stays rigged against Americans" followed by shots of men, their faces blurred out, representing illegal immigrants.
The shots change to images of what a Trump presidency would look like, a border arrest, military men and happy families.
Trump has regularly attacked the "rigged" system and has hinted that if he were to lose the election, it will have been rigged.
