First-time PGA Tour winner had a hilarious answer about mistake that almost cost him dearly

Viktor Hovland is one of the up-and-coming young stars on the PGA Tour and on Sunday he got his first victory in style by sinking a long birdie putt on the 18th hole to win by a stroke in Puerto Rico.

The victory was a historic one for Hovland, as the 22 year old became the first player from Norway to win on the PGA Tour.

Hovland ran into some trouble during his final round and then had a good laugh about it in a very honest post-round interview on the 18th green. He had a 3-stroke lead when a few bad chip shots led to a triple bogey on the par-3 11th hole.

He regrouped and won and then had this to say about those bad chips: “I just suck at chipping!”
