A family in Lothian are celebrating today after receiving the best Christmas gift they could have hoped for.
First-time parents Kim, 33, and Donald Dallas, 32, from Edinburgh welcomed a very special delivery during the wee small hours of Christmas morning.
The tot who hasn't been named, is known as baby Dallas.
He was born at NHS Lothian's Birth Centre, part of the Simpson’s Centre for Reproductive Health at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at 4.10am on Christmas Day.
He tipped the scales at 9lb 2oz.
Baby Dallas was not due to be a Christmas Day baby, however decided to arrive a little later than planned.
Little John James McClung could well be Scotland’s first Christmas Day baby overall after arriving into the world at 12.27am.
The adorable youngster, who weighed 7lb 4oz, is the fourth child of proud parents Danielle Sievewright and Billy McClung from Kilmarnock.
He was born at Ayrshire Maternity and is the new baby brother of Myley, nine, Madeline, seven, and Daisy, five.
The stork also visited Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 4.10am bringing the arrival of a little baby girl to parents Karlijn Kuipers and her partner Alasdair Fowlie.
The youngster is still patiently waiting for a name.
An extra special delivery at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee saw the arrival of little Elijah James Mitchell.
The tot was warmly welcomed by proud parents Jordan Cosgrove and Jonathon Mitchell at 12.30am.
At the same time as the Dallas birth, Karlijn Kuipers and her partner Alasdair Fowlie welcomed their own special Christmas present.
Also born at 4.10am - at Forth Valley Hospital in Larbert - their baby girl is also waiting for a name.
