First Rangers vs Celtic derby switched as Premiership TV fixtures are announced

The next round of TV fixtures have been announced as the new Scottish football season draws nearer.

Celtic 's first away game of the league campaign against Motherwell will now be shown on Sky Sports on Saturday, August 10, at 12pm.

Rangers' trip to Kilmarnock has been picked as the opening Premiership fixture of the season to be televised, with the match at Rugby Park being moved to Sunday, August 4 and will be shown by Sky Sports, starting at 1.30pm. 

The first clash between Celtic and Rangers has also been moved to Sunday, September 1, with Sky Sports showing the tussle between Neil Lennon and Steven Gerrard's sides at 12 noon.

But the first game of the new Scottish season to be shown on TV will be at East End Park, with BBC Scotland showing the Championship tie between Dunfermline Athletic and Dundee on Friday, August 2, beginning at 7.05pm.

The SPFL confirmed they would announce more fixtures from round five onwards in due course.
