The first pictures of Newcastle United’s supposed home shirt for the 2019/20 season have emerged online, prompting mixed reviews from supporters.
Although Newcastle United home, away and third kits for 2019/20 'leaked' as website claims to have new Puma designs , the new photos appear to show the shirt as the finished product. And in a sign that they may be genuine, they tally with the leaks from earlier this year.
The shirt has bolder black stripes in a nod to the early 2000 shirt that was sponsored by NTL. The design shows three bold black stripes and two white stripes and it is a different direction from manufacturers Puma, who have handled United’s shirt designs since 2010. Their contract with the club runs until the end of the 2020.
While some social media users praised the shirt’s bolder designs, others wanted to see a more traditional Newcastle kit with more stripes.

Whether the pictures are genuine or not – and the club and Puma have a policy of not discussing any supposed leaks – it’s sure to sell well if United retain the services of Rafa Benitez and retain Premier League status.
