First pictures of mum and daughter who had throats slit as young girls fled in terror

The first pictures have been released of a mother and daughter who died after having their throats slit at a property in the UK.

The heartbreaking attack happened at a home on Wessex Road, Salisbury.

Police were called to the scene just before 3pm yesterday and have since taken a 30-year-old man into custody.

Officers found the body of 18-year-old Nikoleta and found her mum seriously injured, but despite the paramedics efforts, she died shortly afterwards.

Two distraught young girls were heard screaming before they ran and were found in the street by a neighbour who heard the commotion.

Neighbours Nick and Jan Maher rushed and took the little girls into their home to keep them safe, ordering pizza for them and putting cartoons on the TV.

Mr Maher, 59 said: "There was some noise and I thought it was kids playing... but it got louder, dramatically louder.

"One of our neighbours was over the road with another guy and they pulled two kids out, which were the young daughters.

Zdun is said to have screamed "where are my children?!" during the attack.

Both victims are said to have had their throats slit and the attack is thought to have happened inside the house.
