First picture of young Scots mum found dead at home as police arrest man

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a young Scots mum who was found dead at her Stirling home.

The woman, named locally as Claire Inglis, passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning with police called to the Cultenhove Crescent property at around 5am.

Officers remain at the scene as they try to determine the circumstances surrounding the mum-of-one's tragic death however a man has been arrested in connection.

Devastated friends have paid tribute to the “beautiful” young woman whose death has sent shockwaves through the local community.

One pal wrote: “Cannot believe what I have just woke up to. Feel sick to my stomach. In utter shock.

“Aww Claire Inglis, such a nice lassie. Would help anyone and an amazing mum. Stirling is a broken place today with a lot of heavy hearts.

“My thoughts and love go out to your family. You didn’t deserve this. RIP beautiful.”

A second posted: “Claire Inglis, I cannot believe what I’m reading on here. Devastating news.

“Four weeks till Christmas, your family heartbroken and wee boy lost his amazing mummy.

“Fly high babe. You didn’t deserve this at all, you were the most caring, funny and beautiful girl. Had some of the best memories growing up with you and others.”

A third said: “Never had a heavy heart like this in a long time. I have no words. Shine bright beautiful Claire Inglis.”

And a fourth added: “Can not believe what I’m hearing this morning. So sad for Claire Inglis. RIP beautiful girl, nicest girl."

A source told the Daily Record: "She was honestly such a lovely lassie. Everyone is completely shocked that this has happened and they're all thinking about her wee boy who is still in primary school.

"Her whole world revolved around him. It's heartbreaking for everyone who knew her."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address in Cultenhove Crescent, St Ninians, Stirling, at around 5am on Sunday, 28 November, 2021 where a woman was found dead.

“A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and officers currently remain at the scene.

“Enquiries remain ongoing."
